HEXTON Cricket Club is committed to ensuring the wellbeing and protection of all its younger members. We have adopted the English Cricket Board’s (ECB) ‘Safe Hands’ Policy. The Policy is backed up by a comprehensive training and education programme, a structured implementation plan and a sensitive process to respond to concerns.

Christine Whale is the club’s Welfare Officer and both she and Gareth Whale have attended the Welfare Course organized by Hertfordshire County Cricket Association. Should any player, member or parent / guardian have concerns or questions with regard to child welfare please speak to Christine and Gareth. Contact details can be found on the noticeboard in the clubhouse. Any conversations will, of course, be treated in the strictest confidence.

A copy of the safe Hands Policy is kept at the clubhouse so please feel free to ask to see it if you wish. As part of the Safe Hands policy the club has adopted codes of conduct for Colts, Parents / Guardians, Senior Players and Members.
